There is a saying that says:  “Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” – J. Rohn

To live healthy is not difficult and it doesn’t mean that you have to live a difficult, boring life full of restrictions. It is easy as it means to live a life in MODERATION – healthy food and healthy exercise, not too much of anything. Regular exercise should be something as normal to us as going out with friends (about 3 times a week) starting in our childhood. Our Body is build for movement! Recognise that your body needs movement to be healthy. We know that when we’re hungry we should eat, and when we’re tired we should sleep. But when we get stiff, achy and sluggish, we generally don’t recognize these signals as cues that our body craves movement. Instead, we misinterpret them as a need for rest, which makes us stiffer, achier and even more sluggish. In our sedentary society, many adults have smothered their body’s natural “move me!” impulses and have forgotten that exercise is essential to health. So instead of always living “in your head,” learn to take your awareness of out your mind and into your body, so you can recognize the signals it sends you.

“Exercise is medicine” has become a popular slogan among health and fitness professionals. In “Healing Moves: How to Cure, Relieve and Prevent Common Ailments with Exercise,” we explore the latest scientific findings about exercise’s therapeutic power and present nine “healing moves” programs to help treat a wide range of common medical conditions including diabetes, depression, asthma, arthritis, high cholesterol, heart disease, osteoporosis and cancer. There are hundreds and hundreds of types of exercise, there is no doubt you will find one you really like and enjoy.

To have a healthy diet shouldn’t be difficult. We all know sugar and processed food are not good for us. Everything that is fresh is good. We underestimate the value of a “good” breakfast. Start your day off right! Skipping breakfast can set you up for overeating later in the day. A healthy a.m. meal, on the other hand, can give you energy, satisfy your appetite, and set the stage for smart decisions all day long. You want to aim for a breakfast that combines good carbs and fiber with some protein. What about a porridge with skimmed milk and some fresh fruit cut on top and a spoon of Greek Yoghurt or a poached egg with smoked salmon. Delicious!

Attitude is Everything

You can’t deny that men with tattoos and beards are absolutely on trend.

Tattooing has been practiced for centuries in many cultures and spread throughout the world. The oldest evidence of extant tattooing on preserved skin dates to 6000 BC on the a South American Chinchorro mummy; archaeological specimens that date back as much as 60,000 years may represent tattoo tools. TheAinu, an indigenous people of Japan, traditionally had facial tattoos, as did the Austroasians. Today, one can find Atayal, Seediq, Truku, and Saisiyat of Taiwan, Berbers of Tamazgha (North Africa), Yoruba, Fulani and Hausa people of Nigeria, and Māori of New Zealand with facial tattoos.Tattooing was popular among certain ethnic groups in southern China, Polynesia, Africa, Borneo, Cambodia, Europe, Japan, the Mentawai Islands, MesoAmerica, New Zealand, North America and South America, the Philippines, Iron Age Britain, and Taiwan.

It is a myth that the modern revival of tattooing stems from Captain James Cook’s three voyages to the South Pacific in the late 1700s. Certainly, Cook’s voyages and the dissemination of the texts and images from them brought more awareness about tattooing (and, as noted above, imported the word “tattow” into Western languages), but Europeans have gotten tattooed throughout history. On Cook’s first voyage in 1768, his science officer and expedition botanist, Sir Joseph Banks, as well as artist Sydney Parkinson and many others of the crew, returned to England with tattoos, although many of these men would have had pre-existing tattoos. Banks was a highly regarded member of the English aristocracy and had acquired his position with Cook by putting up what was at the time the princely sum of some ten thousand pounds in the expedition. In turn, Cook brought back with him a tattooed Raiatean man, Omai, whom he presented to King George and the English Court. On subsequent voyages other crew members, from officers, such as American John Ledyard to ordinary seamen, got tattooed. (Wikipedia)

Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it.

We all need some inspiration, if it is for work for a hobby or even for Life in general. The inspiration could be a person (a sportsman like David Beckham) a political and ideological Leader like M. Gandhi, musicians like John Lennon, Kanye West, Dave Grohl or an actor like James Dean, James Franc, a comedian such as Eddi Izzard, a painter like Frida Kahlo, normal people like you and me, your mum or like Stephen Sutton who sadly passed away a few weeks ago after fighting cancer with an inspirational positive attitude willing to help others and fundraising for TCT. your mum, a friend a religion a culture or even music. Inspirational people, happenings or events are /where great, different and special in what they did or do.

It is great to be inspired by something / someone but it is even better to inspire others! I don’t think it is bad to need inspiration. See it as a drive, a direction, a push, a help to get you were you want to go or who you want to be. The impotant thing is that you use that inspiration and through your work, creativity and strength you make it your own and your goal should be to be even better than your inspiration.

At Gifted Heroes we always seek inspiration for every collection we create. Part of the creative process is to understand what trends are breaking, what music are people into, what’s the buzz of the moment, use this to inspire and drive us on, however the most important guidance of course is the people on the streets creating new styles and looks that inspire the fashion world.

What is your inspiration?

One big trend is obviously men with beards…

What is the real purpose of beards? Back then, like all type of body hair was it to keep it warm but that might have been the case with the cave men. For the civilised men was or still is more a way to make men look older. Facial hair growth is a sign of “maturity”, when a young boy turns into a man. But this isn’t the reason anymore to grow a beard. It is a trend! Do women like men with beards? Some do and some don’t, it is a question of taste.

Do men with beards look manlier?? Maybe. They look wilder, that is for sure and this is a trend. A few years ago there was the metrosexual, a man (especially one living in an urban, post-industrial, capitalist culture) who is especially meticulous about his grooming and appearance, typically spending a significant amount of time and money on shopping as part of this. Today is the wilder, scruffier cooler man with tattoos preferable. Even the Drag Queen Conchita Wurst got a beard…

Attitude is Everything

We are in the middle of Spring time heading to a hot Summer. And that means is Musical Festival Time! We are being drip fed the headline acts and the on-site teams are busy inventing ever more adventurous stages. The Festival Season is almost upon us, so get planning. Book your free days off (which I am sure you already have) as well as buying your tickets but maybe you don’t know what to wear! It’s a hard one. The weather of course plays an important role but maybe not that important as it can change any time. If you are completely lost you can get inspiration from Coachella in Indio California, which was back in April. Coachella-2013-Live-Stream-Channel-1 coachella-fashion-festivalbandana-style-street-style-coachella-strawberry-music-festival-_-1 Celebrities-Coachella-2014-Pictures Coachella-1-of-1-4 coachella2012_11 images-1 images Mens-Quick-Guide-to-Coachella-Style-Music-Festivals-1 Vanessa hudgens boho style coachella You might not find the sunshine and high temperatures of the Colorado Desert but you never know they say this year we might have some “el niño” effects and that could be a very hot dry summer . If not you just add a cool parka jacket, nice summer scarf and some wellington boots. All in one I wouldn’t say that there is a new trend to follow, I can’t see any big difference between last and this year and I  would describe the women’s stuff as hippie chic with modern twists for example. The men Festival Fashion doesn’t really have a trend, there are more liberties. BUt we love when men give it a try and don’t go too safe (Jeans, trainers and white T-shirt) Find your own style! Experiment with your look – Dare to Blink – Dare to stand out. Women love men with style, you know? So even if you know you are going to get dirty with sweat and mud at least do it with style! If you need some inspiration, what about this look chose by Gifted Heroes. festival looks

There are many different ways how you can show your product. One way is to show it on a mannequin or person in front of a white background. This is the most common way to show your product on web sites, the product is in the spotlight, you can clearly see the colour, shape, length and print of the T-shirt for example and that is what you need if you may want to buy it. The other way is to photograph the product (in our case the T-shirts) with a cool or good looking model wearing it in a special environment like a beach or in a bar or on the street for example and these pictures are mostly used in magazines, flyers or brochures. This type of photographs make the product look more interesting. Now a days you can post pictures everywhere in the web, the social media platform gives you endless opportunities to post any kind of pictures.

The Question is how do you present your product on social media? Every day! We decided to post pictures where our T-shirts are in the spotlight and shown clearly but also in different environments and ways where maybe you can’t see exactly how the shape, fit, length or even print looks exactly like. It’s a way to get you curious about the product. Have a look! What do you think?
